A Study On Public Arts In The Process Of Urbanization

With the rapid development of urbanization, it’s becoming increasinglyprosperous in urban construction. Obviously, urbanization is an unavoidable path for acountry to transfer from a agricultural country to industrial one; meanwhile, it is alsoa truth in the process of socio-economical development. In the process of urbanization,a result is the re-allocation of urban public space resource, while this is closely relatedto land usage, space division, transportation layout, landscape gardens, historicalcultural protection, etc.. Starting from reform and development of urbanization, thisarticle conducts a both practical and theoretical study on, in the process ofurbanization, how to take advantage of public arts to connect the history of cities,protect humanity resources and on the future development of cities.This article begins with the purpose and significance of urbanization, analyzesthe status quo of current urbanization, and fully analyzes the impact of urbanizationon urban space development, which leads to a detailed analysis on the inevitablecontradictions and problems of urbanization. The article lists the problems andmistakes in public spaces with historical and cultural characteristics and values, andthen corresponding solutions are suggested.A more detailed analysis is conducted on the social characteristics of public artsof public spaces. A feasible solution is proposed to the problems mentioned in thearticle through understanding the social characteristics of public arts and itsperformance. Meanwhile, an emphasis is put on the analysis of impact of public arts’colors and models on public spaces, the relation between environmental space andhuman space, and the impact of the performance and cultural connotation of publicarts’ colors and models on human psychological space.Finally the model designed takes the public space in Changchun in differentperiods as an example to analyze and illustrate the historical and cultural value of public space in the past and then compares it with the colors and models of publicspace after layout adjustment in the new era. Thus the article explores in depth theprotection of historical resources of the urban public spaces by means of public arts.
