A Study Of Exercises In Primary Chinese Oral Textbooks

With the wave of ’Mandarin Fever’, the international generalization of Chinese has got a boomingdevelopment, and the number of textbooks for TCFL has also increased rapidly. Textbooks are important aidsfor language learning, and whether the textbooks are reasonable depend on the exercises. As we all know, OralChinese lesson is a required class for Chinese language learners, if you want to succeed in Spoken Chinese,you had better take much more exercise. As the key period, exercises design is more important during theelementary period.However, there is a lack of systematic study on the research of textbooks, especially for the setting of thestudy is not enough. The study of ’Chinese Oral Exercises’ are a little and mostly they belong to the type ofsummary research which contain textbooks editing, exercises setting and exercises contrast.In view of this, the two kinds of articles published by Beijing Language and Culture University Press thedevelopment of Chinese and Conversational Chinese301are selected to be compared, focusing oncomparative analysis of after-school exercise in the purpose, type, content and quantity of the exercises, whichfound the similarities and difference between the two kinds of primary oral teaching materials. Finally, throughanalysis the current problems of the primary oral teaching materials of Chinese, I will put forward somesuggestions about setting exercises, which may help for it and also can have some certain inspiration for theclass of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, such as, The compilation of exercises should be appreciate;the exercise form should be diversified; the type of exercise should be reasonable; the exercise should increasemuch more interest. Finally, we hope it helpful and good for the research of TCFL.
