Documentary is a charming cultural style in the field of film. We can able to understand the world as well as ourselves. The object of this paper is an independent documentary film. It is a product of social change and transformation of the late in the80’s early90’s of the last century. It has been keeping close to our society and calling individual voice. It relies on the rational and critical perspective to impress humanistic care and face every corner of social reality. It has expressed the life appeal and emotion of ordinary classes from the bottom of society and become an important part of China documentary’s territory.As the event of independent film in China, the annual China Independent Film Festival was born in2003.But the eighth annual Chinese independent images show the last day in the November of2011, Nanjing University School of Journalism and Communication "organized politics, ethics and aesthetics:Chinese independent documentary of the road" forum once again the image of the game between creation and criticism pushed the cusp. Some documentary director put up signs on the wall, the sign of The "Nanjing declaration" explore the relationship between creation and criticism. This game creation and criticism of the exposed a problem:what kind of relationship between creation and criticism? We have to collect large amounts of information and choose the "Nanjing declaration" as a point to conjecture a point of view:the relationship of creation and criticism is the "silent dialogue". It means their have not a balance dialogue mechanism.From literature to film, a similar discussion has never stopped, then what the new features in the independent documentary? The game between the criticism and creation was accidental or inevitable? It requires to clear its history and comparison of different types of documentary to understand their morphological characteristicsAlthough it has won many awards in foreign countries, there is almost no effective means of communication in China, independent documentary situation is difficult in its early time. Because of DV, this situation began to change until the late 90’s. More than20years of development, both the quantity and the quality are significantly improved. Independent documentary film criticism try to establish their own independent words to reflect on the documentary film creation by using academic criticism and their main mode of criticism is moral criticism and social criticism. But, independent documentary was in a hidden state, already from the mass media dissemination track and independent film criticism is full of contradictions and uncertainty. The "the silence of the dialogue" is from the imbalance of the dialogue mechanism.How to help them break the ice road.This paper tries to emphasize the audience subjectivity into the independent documentary film and change the "two pieces of skin" between creation and critics by using the "aesthetic" theory. But, audience’s body position as an important factor in independent documentary has been neglected for a long time. In the independent documentary, the audience’s horizon of expectations can be constructed on the image, and the blank of the imagination can polish the image. Creative group demand the audience, and critics also demand the audience to establish its own discourse. To restore the audience perspective does not mean that we can solve the problem between creation and criticism, but a new dimension can help the creation and criticism to reflect on themselves and have a channel to moderate their emotional ease.
