The Exploration Of The Creation Problem Of Independent Documentary

With the development of China's economy, DV and SLR(single-lens reflex camera) gradually becomes popular with people. Also because of the conveniency of publication of the online video, people could public the video which made by himself on line. It inspired lots of college students and art lovers to become documentary film-makers. The independent documentary becomes flourishing, and self-expression upsurges between people. This paper basing on self-practice of filming and others'independent documentaries, adopting analytical method and exemplification, attempts to analyze the production process and aesthetic style of independent documentary.This paper consists of three chapters. Though analyzing the preliminary planning, creation process and audition, this paper teases some issues existing in documentary making. Chapter one includes the subject creation of independent documentary which is unique. Starting with the film of See a Doctor of AI Xiang, this part analyzes the social meaning of subject chosen. Chapter two includes the key creation of documentary. Combined with practice, this part discusses the truth of story construction, and contradictoriness and storytelling of narration. The film editing and narrative structure also included in this part. Chapter three includes several problems in audition. This part analyzes the audition elements of See a Doctor of AI Xiang, and discusses the aesthetic features of independent documentary.Through simply analysis to China's excellent documentaries and reflection to self-practice of filming, this paper hopes to summary creation principle and aesthetic style of Chin's independent documentary, and provide a reference to the further creation.
