| Chen Yingning(1880-1969), the most important Taoism scholar of modern China, was born in Huai Ning, An Hui porvince. This paper will base on Chen Yingning’s works as the main research data, investigating the change of Chen Yingning’s immortal theory and its influence to the country, the individual and the Taoism from the view of philosophy and religious.The first chapter mainly discusses reasons and purposes of the immortal theory’s changing with the status of modern Taoism and Salvation of immortal theory. Then point out the relations between saving people and saving country which under the immortal condition. To save the people by the immortal theory is the foundation of immortal theory salvationThe second chapter discusses meaning of the change of immortal theory and to save people with immortal theory.it will also discusses how saving people become the core of the theory. Only through the way of saving people by immortal theory can the salvation be acheieved.The third chapter discusses the influence and the meaning of the change of Chen Yingning’s immortal theory to the modernization of Taoism, and pointing out its important position and effect in the modern Taoism. |
