| Interpretation is quickly developing in recent years, especially against today’srapid globalization and fast economic growth, as well as frequent internationalexchanges. In the meanwhile, it plays an indispensable role in communicationbetween different races, different cultures and different language backgrounds.Interpretation, a bridge of human communication, has become a wide range ofvarieties with the development of human history, such as simultaneous interpretation, consecutive interpretation, whispered interpretation, sign language interpretation, sight interpretation, etc.Consecutive interpretation is widely used in various forms of meetings home andabroad. And factors that affect the quality of consecutive interpretation are varied. This study analyzes the specific influence of encyclopedic knowledge on consecutiveinterpretation, and propose appropriate solutions, on taking the four aspects that affectthe consecutive interpretation quality——listening, memory, notes andexpression——as the main line, the examples of Premier Wen’s2012PressConference and Premier Li’s2013Press Conference as the foundation, and theaccuracy in quality evaluation as the principle.
