At the beginning of the last century, there was a "children’s hot" in Chinese literature, following which a variety of children’s literary theories and works occurred. In the meantime, Bing Xin created a large number of excellent works which shone in the garden of children’s literature and she became an influential writer of children’s literature. Scholars are keen on the research of Bing Xin’s works, but they hold different opinions.Putting Bing Xin in the social and cultural background of the early twentieth century when Chinese and Western culture collide each other, we will find that in the hubbub of the cultural context she gives her unique and valuable voice. We can’t take Bing Xin’s children’s literature or literary views as a discourse, instead, they are a place intertwined with and formed by a variety of discourses and voices. And the relations and status of these voices showed in different forms in different periods and different works. Based on these voices, Bing Xin gave her polyphonic voices. In the study, we should give full attention to the complexity and heterogeneity of these voices and be not obscured by one of them. Therefore, it is necessary for us to break some of the existing "structure" which is rigid and occupies a position of discourse hegemony and the metaphysical research model. We should open a new area and give full recognition to the phenomenon of heterogeneity in Bing Xin’s literary creation. One of the purposes of this paper is, through the discussion of the nature, thoughts and ideas of Bing Xin’s children’s literature, to categorize the heterogeneous component into Bing Xin’s views on children and literary creation. In order to carry on more detailed study of the phenomenon of heterogeneity in Bing Xin’s childre’s literature, this thesis develops from the following three chapters.Chapter One, from Bing Xin’s modern discourse of enlightenment posture, language style and the "new nationalism as an understanding wife and loving mother" under the female consciousness, mainly describes the "new classical literature temperament" reflected in Bing Xin’s children’s literature, i.e., the contradiction and fusion of the modern and classical type.Chapter Two mainly discusses the "child-orientation" and "non child-orientation" included in Bing Xin’s children’s literature. The aesthetic and education function of children’s literature run parallel. It is of great importance how to deal with the relationship between the two. Too much emphasis on one side will be biased. But Bing Xin’s children’s literature shows a double light of aesthetic and education.Chapter Three mainly uses the time clue to study the writing and evolution of the "love philosophy" in Bing Xin’s children’s literature, aimed at explaining that with the time and space constraints and change of mood, Bing Xin ideas have certain changes and even contradictions in the different creation periods of children’s literature. And based on that, it also briefly explains her thought limitation.
