A Study On Reason Object And Purpose Object Appraisal Pattern And Typicalness

According to previous studies on the reason object and purpose object, we found that study on the two types of object focused on the semantic analysis and pragmatic interpretation, but lacked systematic research on both. What’s more, fewer people addressed appraisal patterns and typical problems of the the two objects.Therefore aiming at the lack of the previous studies, we conduct related research in this paper. Based on the case grammar and prototype category theory, the paper involves the systematic and detailed study of the reason object and purpose object. Then we put forward composite appraisal patterns respectively for the two classes of objects, and analyze the typical sequences of both objects. This study not only is beneficial to describe and explain reason and purpose object in modern Chinese, but also helps to explore the Chinese structural characteristics. With the help of the research on object sub-categories and from another viable thought, re-identification and interpretation is possible for the two objects. On the one hand, our study will be of some reference value for the future revisions of" Chinese Verbs Dictionary". On the other hand, it can promote its application in computer automatic recognition and in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The full text is divided into five chapters:The first chapter:This chapter is the introduction. In this paper, we summarize the present research situation of the reason object and purpose object, and then point out the great research significance of the appraisal patterns and typical investigation for the two types of object. Finally research theory presented is introduced in this paper, including main research methods and corpus sources.The second chapter:Specify the the semantic properties of the reasons object and purpose object. First of all redefine the concepts of the reason object and purpose object, and then from the perspective of semantic analysis indicate the semantic implication and patient feature of the two objects.The third chapter:Reason object and purpose object appraisal patterns are put forward. First point out the main problems of the existing single appraisal model, and then respectively present composite appraisal patterns of the both objects, and from the aspects of main and auxiliary standards, two kinds of appraisal patterns are analyzed and explained.The fourth chapter:Respectively investigate the typicalness of the reason object and purpose object. The section involves comparative analysis of the reason object, purpose object and other types of object, which outlines the typical sequence of the reason object and purpose object, and on this basis the object cases in the" Chinese Verbs Dictionary" are put into further investigation.The fifth chapter:This chapter is the conclusion part. Summarize the full text, expound the significance of this paper, the main value and innovation, and then put forward the unsolved problems in this paper.
