Conversation Analysis Study Of BBS Topic Posting

This article is based on conversational analysis theory, devoted to the discourse analysis of bulletin board system (BBS).By summarizing the network language popularly used in recent10years, we find that the perspective of the research is quite narrow. What is more, what involved in the research scope are just some of the surface structure of linguistics, such as pronunciation, vocabulary, syntax and so on. Few people can breakthrough the level of sentence and do research beyond it. BBS is generally welcomed and widely participated by people on the Internet, but the research is comparatively scarce on the perspective of linguistics. The current conversation analysis almost regard natural language as the object of the research, whereas the conversation under the condition of network is different from our daily conversation, which has its own particularity.This essay is aimed to reveal the specific structure of BBS conversation by analyzing numerous instances that describe the interpersonal conversation structure under the network.Because of the restrictions of the network environment, interpersonal communication is not as simple as natural conversation. Misunderstanding, dispute, and even network violence occasionally happen, which pose a threat to network harmony. In consequence, a great many aspects should be taken into consideration so as to make such non-face-to-face and fictitious conversation. In this paper, on the one hand, the research reflects how human communication happen and change under the network condition and then provides concrete ways to regulate the construction of post. On the other hand, some basic rules of network conversation will be concluded, which is significant to guide the network communication, reduce the misunderstandings and contractions and eventually form a harmonious network communication atmosphere.Basically, BBS forum communication is a kind of interpersonal activity based on the text where group members can turn-speaking. The interactive process is similar to dynamic nature of conversation. Accordingly, BBS forum communication can be regarded as a conversation, which is a variant of daily conversation.BBS conversation has its own conversation structure. Turn-marking is unique in BBS turn-taking. It has something in common with daily conversation. For example, gap and overlap can also occur in BBS conversation, while it has its own distinct characteristics. In the turn-taking of BBS, there are5answering structures. While in the form of internal answering structure, it can be divided into adjacency pair and insertion sequence. Whether the BBS conversation can be carried out smoothly is determined by both the contextual analysis of mechanisms and conversational strategies. Topic, field, method and object are all main elements of contextual analysis. Besides, principles, implicatures, and affinities of the conversation also play a role in restricting the formation of the conversational discourse.Compared with natural conversation and telephone conversation, BBS conversation is voiceless and invisible to people. It is both oral and written in the style of linguistic, which can be called "oral-written language". On the contrary, as far as conversational course concerned, BBS conversation belongs to the sort of multi-users, which is much more complex. Finally, in the form of BBS conversation structure, it does not have the common turn-taking which is regularly used in daily conversation both at the beginning and in the end. In addition, different from daily conversation, the partial parallel development of double-topic is among the phenomena of cyber communication language.
