Influence Of Confucianism On Modern Ideological And Political Education

The Chinese traditional Confucianism is extensive and profound, which is theeternal culture resources of contemporary Ideological and Political Education, theimportant foundation of the development in Sinicization of Marxism, and theinexhaustible roots of Ideological and Political Education in new period. In China, thetraditional Confucianism is reflected in political culture education among differentsocial class, no matter in families, schools, government departments, companies or othersocial groups.However, the modern society still has the tendency, which underestimates the valueof individual and the historical limitation such the natural demand. In the process ofmodern Ideological and Political Education, we should inherit the essence of thetraditional ethical education in Confucianism, improve the method of Ideological andPolitical Education combining with the features of the age and the reality, excavate andexplore the value of Confucianism sufficiently, and enhance the effectiveness,universalism and pluralism of modern ideological and political education. We need notonly to maintain the harmony of the basic value in ideological and political education,but also concern daily life in the diversity society, take care of people’s happiness index,respect for individual personality, and improve the individual subjectivity.
