The Study Of The Biography Of Lofty Scholar During The Wei Jin And South And North Dynasties Period

During the WeiJin and South and North Dynasties Period, the biography of lofty scholar increased substantially, this was a phenomenon which was worth noting. However, the study of this phenomenon was less. Based on the miscellaneous biography of lofty scholar and the-biography of lofty scholar in official history during the WeiJin and South and North Dynasties Period as the research object, this article researches its background, analyses the image of lofty scholar, and reveals the reclusive culture and explores its literary value.In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter introduces the background of the biography of lofty scholar during the WeiJin, and South and North Dynasties Period, trying to carry on the analysis from two aspects, the development of metaphysics and the rise of biographical literature.The second chapter mainly introduces the miscellaneous biography of lofty scholar during the WeiJin and South and North Dynasties Period, carrying on the key analysis to The Biography of Sages and Hermits of Ji Kang and The Biography of Lofty Scholar of Huang Fumi, focuses on the system analysis of the hermit image, and other hermit miscellaneous biography excerpt at the same time. The third chapter is the overall study of the biography of lofty scholar in official history in the period of the Wei, Jin and South and North Dynasties. Firstly analyzes the basic structure of the biography of lofty scholar in official history, the biographies usually utilized basic structure such as "preface+text+statement";and then analyzes the hermit image in official history, the biographies attached importance to common characteristic, as well as individuality.The fourth chapter carries on the analysis to the reclusive culture of the biography of lofty scholar. This chapter firstly discusses impacts of the biographies to formation of correlated reclusive theory, and then analyzes the biographies on recording of recluses’daily life, including substantial needs such as food and cloths, and spiritual life such as writing books, making friends, fishing, which was essential to recoding of reclusive practice.The fifth chapter mainly discusses the literature value of the biography of lofty scholar. The biographies play an important role on the composition of literary and formation of reclusive literature. In addition, the biographies also save a lot of literature, such as poetry, prose and letters, monument, inscription, Lei, these are important materials for literature style study.This paper starts from the biography of lofty scholar during the WeiJin, and South and North Dynasties Period, then explores the image of hermits through analyzing the text, then dug out value of reclusive story, and finally tries to catch big insight from small and finds out possible directions for similar story study.
