The television series The Legend of Zhen Huan:Empresses in Palace has been an outstanding hit and owned high popularity in audiences since the airtime in2011. It is adapted from the novel of the same name written by Liu Lianzi. It is worth mentioning that the music in the drama contains classical and elegant national innovation and modern expression of the time which appeal countless audiences as well. The present thesis is to be focused on the theme song and episodes in the drama and aims at the study of the lyrics, melodies, tone and tonart among five songs in the drama.
