Self-efficacy is a type of self-perception about one’s own ability, namely, believing one has the ability and belief to judge. Academic self-efficacy is a kind of judgment and expectation whether the individual can perform a certain learning task or achieve a learning goal under learning situations, which is an important factor that influences the academic achievement. Its development is not only influenced by the inherent factors of an individual, but also influenced by the external environmental factors, of which is particularly influenced by the satisfaction of academic delay and parenting style.This research mainly used the literature review, investigation and other research methods, which was based on the status quo of rural left-behind children’s self-efficacy and family education and analyzed and discussed the factors that influenced left-behind children’s academic self-efficacy during their growing process, including the factors of the satisfaction of academic delay and parenting style. There were430subjects chose randomly12classes from grade1to grade3in4middle schools of Xiangtan and Loudi. This research mainly concerned the relationship between the left-behind children’s academic self-efficacy and parenting style and academic delay. With correlation analysis and regression analysis were used in statistical analysis of the survey data, the results showed that: Firstly, in demographic variables about gender, grade, only children and father’s education level, the result of left-behind children’s academic self-efficacy was significant difference.Secondly, the relationship between academic delay of gratification, parenting style and academic self-efficacy of left-behind children are positive correlation.Thirdly, the relationship between academic delay of gratification, academic self-efficacy and parenting style with emotional warm understanding parenting style have notable positive correlation. But the parenting style of severely punishment, excessive interference, rejection and excessive protection is negatively related academic delay of gratification and academic self-efficacy.Fourthly, academic delay of gratification mediated the relation between the parenting style and academic self-efficacy.On the basis of the development of present status of left-behind children’s academic self-efficacy, I proposed some related recommendations. |
