The youth are the future of our country. Their academic achievements have always been the common focus of our society, school, and parents. How to make the students get high academic achievements has always been an important research topic of Educational Psychology. Former researches show that students'academic achievements are affected by many factors. In this research ,we emphatically investigated the effect of parenting style and academic self-efficacy .On the one hand ,it can enrich the former researches, on the other hand ,it can lay a theoretical foundation for the further researches about this area.The researchers used a questionnaire survey method. We collected 306 junior middle school students, using statistical difference in testing, correlation analysis and regression analysis method, specifically discussed the relationship among the three. The results are as follows:(1) Nowadays, the parenting style of junior middle school students'parents is mainly the positive parenting style;the development level of junior middle school students'academic self-efficacy is higher than the normal level.(2) The grade difference in the junior middle school students'parenting style is significant: the parenting style in grade one is better than grade two and grade three. gender difference is significant in fathers'punishment parenting style.;The grade difference in the junior middle school students'academic self-efficacy is significant: the academic self-efficacy in grade one is higher than grade two and grade three.(3)The junior middle school students'positive parenting style has a significant positive correlation with academic achievements and has a significant positive correlation with academic self-efficacy; The junior middle school students'negative parenting style has a significant negative correlation with academic achievements and has a significant negative correlation with academic self-efficacy; the academic self-efficacy has a significant positive correlation with academic achievements.(4)The refused and denied parenting style of junior middle school students'parents significantly forecast academic achievements in a negative way: the more refused and denied parenting style parents adopted ,the lower their children'academic achievements are. The warm and understood parenting style of junior middle school students'fathers significantly forecast academic achievements in a positive way: the more warm and understood parenting style fathers adopted ,the higher their children'academic achievements are. (5) The junior middle school students'academic self-efficacy significantly forecast academic achievements in a positive way: the higher their academic self-efficacy is, the higher their academic achievements are;The junior middle school students'parenting style significantly forecast academic self-efficacy;The junior middle school students'parenting style together with academic self-efficacy significantly forecast academic s achievements.
