With the advancement of popularization of higher education in our country, more and more youth of the right age have chances of receiving higher education. As an important part of education system in China, higher education embodies high-level standard in education equity system, and exactly because of that, the fairness of higher education has been a heated topic in all aspects of society. As a basic human orientation in social fairness and a measure of people’s life satisfaction, well-being has got more and more attention of the educational circles in recent years.According to the structured interview on478college students of Southwest JiaoTong University Emei, this paper analyzes higher education fairness, subjective well-being of contemporary college students and the possible link between them by means of the correlation analysis, variance analysis, multiple regression analysis and the other statistical analysis methods. In this process,"positive emotions","negative emotions ","personal satisfaction","external environment satisfaction" and "learning and self satisfaction" are employed as the core dimension of subjective well-being and "the fairness of right ","the fairness of process ","the fairness of result" as the core dimension of education fairness.After that, some conclusions are drawned. Firstly, both students’ sense of educational fairness and subjective well-being are at medium level. Secondly, there are some important independent variables impacting on college students’ educational fairness and subjective well-being such as gender, grade, subject, registered permanent residence, college admissions, scores ranking, corporate identity and investment, educational backgrounds of parents, family per capita income, family’s social class and so on. Thirdly, the sense of educational fairness is closely related to subjective well-being. College students with high sense of educational fairness have a high positive emotion experience and a low negative emotion experience. College students’ educational fairness is one of the crucial indicators forecasting their subjective well-being.In addition, this paper comes up with some measures to improve the college students’ educational fairness and subjective well-being from the perspective of the government, the school and the students separately.
