| As a symbol of Chinese folk culture, paper-cut has already become the crystallization of Chinese people’s wisdom after the creation, development and inheritance for thousands of years. Originated from the civil society and deeply rooted in the life of the masses, paper-cut is featured with spontaneity, practicability and entertainment. It forms from the productive labor of all nationalities, witnesses the life status and social custom of people, and reflects people’s thoughts and feelings as well as the beautiful longing for the future life. The researches on paper-cut art are samples and examples for studying the folk culture and life. At present, researches on paper-cut art mainly target at northern China while researches on paper-cut art from Zigong Sichuan are still few. This dissertation takes the paper-cut art from Zigong Sichuan as the research object and further analyzes the problems of paper-cut art from Zigong on the aspects of development, inheritance and industrialization from the current situation while combing the historic culture, folk culture as well as artistic style and characteristics of paper-cut art from Zigong. In this way, the author hopes this dissertation can inspire the researches on paper-cut art from Sichuan, especially from Zigong.There are totally five chapters in this dissertation. The first chapter briefly depicts the background, origin and research status of paper-cut art from Zigong. The second chapter elaborates the historical formation and several development stages of paper-cut art from Zigong. Starting from the art form, the third chapter comprehensively analyzes and evaluates the artistic aesthetics of paper-cut art from Zigong. Aiming at establishing a macroscopic understanding of paper-cut art from Zigong, the fourth chapter conducts fundamental demonstration for the influences of the culture around Zigong and even the whole Sichuan region on the paper-cut art from Zigong. The fifth chapter, which is also the last part, discusses about the development prospect and industrialization expectation of the paper-cut art from Zigong in the present society. It concludes that studying the paper-cut art from Zigong confirms its existence value, hoping this dissertation can supplement the researches on the paper-cut art from Sichuan. |
