The National Southwest Associated University or NSAU for short, is the union of three prestigious universities:Peking University, Tsinghua University and Nankai University, cultivated a large number of well-known scholars during the wartime. Thus created a glorious and unique chapter in the history of China’s higher education.Owing to the presence of many outstanding literary figures there, NSAU underwent a boom of literary translation, and its translation achievements are indispensable to the translation history of China. By searching the correlations among a dozen of translation works&articles out of WenJu and GuiZhou Daily Revolutionary Army Poetry, the translation and introduction of Foreign Literature works are presented.The introduction shows the historical background and the current research situation of NSAU as well as the significance and research methods.Chapter one first analyzes the reason why Literary Translation flourished in NSAU, followed by the brief introduction about literary translation works. Chapter two focus NSAU intellectual’s sense of responsibility during the wartime. In this part, their thoughts are discussed in combination with examples so that the thoughts suggested can be testified. Teachers in NSAU are the elites of China’s academics at that time. Although they chose to do professional research in university, the facts were never forgotten. They did their utmost to learn culture and scientific knowledge, accompanied by translating and introducing of foreign cultural works with the hope of making contribution to the national reconstruction when the war is over. Chapter three focus on the life experience of several professionals taken as example.
