Mo Yan is a famous writer of contemporary China, who enjoys a high reputationboth at home and abroad. His works are deeply influenced by magic realism,whichwrite a densified northeast township "legend" happened in Shandong.Mo Yan won the Nobel prize for literature in2012, which made he won a lot ofrecognition, the praise sound mainly concentrated in the Nobel literary award words:‘the magic realism and folk tales, history and the contemporary society together’.Butlittle people paid attention to the horizontal comparison with the other writers whogrow up with him of the period. This paper mainly discussion on the aspects.The first chapter of Mo Yan in1985.1985is an important period of root-seekingliterature,when it was born. Mo Yan’s fame is from this period. Throughout theanalysis of Mo Yan’s two works "transparent carrot" and "Red Sorghum", we canknow that, Mo Yan is the same with the other roots-seeking writers. Through thetechniques of magic realism literature reference,they set up their own literary territory‘densified northeast township’. In there religion, he praised the primitive vitality andexpressed his views on national deep-rooted bad habits.The second chapter discusses on the literature of Mo Yan and the same period. Thischapter tries to analyze the root-seeking literature’s decline, to find out the differencesbetween Mo Yan and other writers. The highlight for the two theme of life concernand for cultural criticism, especially when he starts from the concern for life into thenational culture, in this regard, Mo Yan has been completely break the "bound roots"literature thought, began to champion.The third chapter of Mo Yan’s vigorous. This chapter through to Mo Yan’smasterpiece "abundant breast fat buttock","sandalwood punishment","life and death"three works of analysis, to find out his pioneering spirit, constantly trying to textinnovation. Mo Yan won the Nobel literature prize in2012, ushered in a peak of hiscareer. Through the interpretation of Nobel prize words, we can analyze the reasonwhy Mo Yan only adhere to the root-seeking literature to evergreen. And from the Mo Yan’s new world literature, we can see that literature is a self refining furnace,self-examination, is for a conscious reconstruction of history.Conclusion: the root-seeking literature has been brilliant, but ultimately make anew start with a representative writer, toward the inevitable decline. At that time, notby the mainstream critics like Mo Yan, but more and more close to, graduallyoccupied the central position of the root seeking literature, become the root-seekingliterature banner, out the bright light shine.
