Because of the connection between the Chinese folk songs and the Chinese, it can improve the Chinese teaching to some extent. We tried our best to prove the necessity of Chinese folk songs teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language based on the point of the connection between the interests in Chinese music of the foreign students and the relationship of music and language culture. We take theories of Interlingua Hypothesis, Contrastive Analysis Hypothesis, the Input Hypothesis, and Errors Analysis as the theoretical basics. Taking the connections between students, teachers and textbooks as the starting point, we prove the positive effect on teaching Chinese as a foreign language when Chinese folk songs used in the classes. At the same time, we have some guesses about the teaching methods which could be used in class.
