The Little Theatre In Lanzhou City

The little theater was born in the late1980s in Lanzhou City. Private little theaters have appeared in Lanzhou since2011, the River Theater is one of the representatives. It was founded in2013, but collapsed after a four-month-operating. The River Theatre survived for a short time, however, it had representativeness in many aspects, such as repertoire selection, drama creativity, marketing operation, and audiences targeting. I participated the whole process of the River theater building and survival, which is the reason that I selected the River Theater as the research subject. The study is divided into six chapters:investigating in the drama creation ability, discussing drama performance, audiences researching and marketing strategy, analyzing the4months of life of the River Theater from multiple perspectives, demonstrating the living space and dimensions of little theatre in Lanzhou city.
