This paper selects Tibet documentary since the New Era as the research object, combined with film narrative theories, and adopts the method of text interpretation, to study Tibetan documentary narrative evolution. This paper has chosen "The temptation of Tibet","Barkhor Street on the16th" and "A year in Tibet" as a case, analyses the narrative difference of the1980s,1990s, and21st century Tibet documentary,and summarizes the development and influencing factors of film narration in Tibet Documentary since the New Era.On this basis, this paper tries to reveal the law.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is introduction,mainly combing existing research literature, the research background, and determines the research content.The second part is summary of the development of Tibet Documentary and the film narrative theories.The third to the fifth part selects three typical texts and analyses their narrative style, narrative method and narrative strategy.The last part tells the development of Tibet Documentary and the film narrative difference of them.The last part also analyses the influencing factors of these changes and the future development direction of Tibet Documentary.This paper believes that the film narrative changes of Tibet Documentary subject to political, economic and cultural background. Tibet Documentary in the development of the future should pay attention to focus on state and national image creation, to the international cultural exchange and to master the power of interpretation of history culture.
