An Analysis Of The Evolution Of The Narrative Style Of Chinese Food Documentaries

Gourmet documentaries have become a popular topic for Chinese documentaries in recent years.With the rapid progress of social and economic development,people’s narrative appeals for gourmet documentaries are no longer limited to presenting the audiovisual enjoyment brought by the gourmet itself,and they have begun to dig deeper.Behind the cuisine goes beyond the connotation and spirit of the material itself.This article is based on narratology and film and television narratology-related theories,and uses text analysis as the main research method.It focuses on three research purposes: First,according to the background of the times,sort out the development context of Chinese gourmet documentary narrative methods and divide the stages;Taking the classic cases in each period as an analysis sample,the analysis is made from four perspectives: narrative perspective,narrative structure,narrative style,and audiovisual narrative,focusing on highlighting the new changes in the narrative style;the third is thinking about the future of China’s gourmet documentary Development inspiration.Through analysis and research,it is found that the narrative perspective of Chinese gourmet documentaries has undergone a change from macro to micro,and the civilian perspective has been used to achieve a further return of documentary to popular culture.Second,the narrative structure has also changed from the traditional linear narrative structure.More diversified,no longer constrained by a single structure;Furthermore,the narrative style of gourmet documentaries gradually reeducated from the seriousness of preaching in the early documentaries,gradually moving towards younger expressions,showing a trend of entertainment and variety;finally,in At the audiovisual narrative level,thanks to the advancement of science and technology,while continuously absorbing audiovisual elements,audiovisual spectacles have been further expanded and strengthened,especially paying more attention to the expressiveness of sound elements.Finally,based on the previous analysis,in view of the problems in the evolution of Chinese gourmet documentary narrative methods,several conclusions are drawn that are beneficial to the future development of Chinese documentaries.I believe that gourmet documentaries should keep pace with the times in narrative concepts,narrative means must grasp the degree of entertainment,and be alert to the harm caused by the panentertainment tendency of documentaries.Finally,in the pursuit of narrative value,we must always adhere to people-oriented and stick to The value of humanism.
