Outstanding regional issues lead to the rise of regionalism which has not been excluded in South-East Asia where the mechanism of regionalism which has made sharp contrast to that of EU cannot be established without the exterior influence of U.S. Therefore, to deepen the awareness of diversity of culture and civilization should be prioritized before the establishment of mechanism of South-East Asia regionalism. In this thesis, I choose new regionalism as the theory frame to analyze the development trend of the new regionalism through the discussion of multi-lateral, bilateral and regional organization arrangements in political, economic and military cooperation of U.S.A. Since the1990s the vigorous development of new regionalism has been an important feature in East Asia. The rise of new regionalism emerged in East Asia provides a finer way, development and enriched the regional political and economic cooperation, and promote the process of the East Asian political and economic cooperation. The East Asian integration has also provided powerful driving for the new regionalism. Benign interaction between the two, will largely mold the future of the South-East Asian economic cooperation. Under the influence of new regionalism, the political and economic corporation has been established and developed, which is turning into the preliminary base of United community of South-East Asia. However, the current development of political and economic corporation has been facing obstacles rose from the facts of absence of institutional system and presence of interference of great powers, in particular, the influence of U.S.A that enjoys incomparable political, economic, and military forces by setting up political and military allies, free trade partnership and predominant multiple frameworks, in the intention of encountering the Russian and Chinese’s influence in this region, as well as the escape of local organization from itself, so as to guarantee its reachable regional power to serve its global strategic goals by combining the ties of Trans-Pacific Strategic and Economic Partnership and Asian and Pacific Economic Coloration. With the help of the understanding of regionalism of International relations’theory, it is expected to analyze the influence of United States, regional development strategy and advancement routine of South-East Asian countries via the perspectives of ASEAN, the biggest local organization and its member states then eventually come to my conclusion toward the development trend the new regionalism in South-East Asia.
