Today, China is in a critical period of market transition and social change, social stratification patterns or social class structure has undergone significant changes, With the deepening of market transformation, the focus of Scholars debate is whether the market system to completely replace the redistribution system to become an important mechanism of social stratification patterns. In the background of the debate, Based on the perspective of market transformation among Western and Chinese local sociologists, produce a series of representative and controversial view about changes in social stratification model of the socialist countries, especially the Chinese social stratification model changes, including the theory of market transition, the theory for the challenge and the new comprehensive theory. This paper will focus on these theoretical perspectives, by comparing different theoretical paradigms of the socialist countries (mainly around China launched) social stratification patterns, try to explain the substance, similarities and differences of the debate fully and accurately, and further discuss the applicability and restrictive problem of these three models in Chinese local study, Meanwhile, in some extent, to provide theoretical and empirical level thinking in the social stratification of socialist countries in the context of market transformation, especially the Chinese local social stratification researches.The paper is divided into five parts; the first part is the introduction, mainly including the question consciousness, the background and significance of the research, research ideas and methods, overview of the relevant existing research and the definition of the core concepts; The second part is carried out mainly around the production, the core idea and the main content and its evaluation of the market transition theory, the Central idea is to emphasize the role of market factors in the transition process; The third part discusses the core ideas and the main content of the various theoretical paradigm which questioned the theory of market transition, and the evaluation of these theories, the Central idea is to emphasize the political factors is still at work in the transition process; Discussed in part Ⅳ is a new comprehensive theoretical explanation on the basis of the above theoretical paradigm, namely, political and market covariance effects, the Central idea is to emphasize the common effect of market and political role in the transition process; Part Ⅴ is the Comparative Study of the dimensions of the above three modes, and thus in order to find the applicability of these three perspectives in the study of Chinese local researches and provide some theoretical and empirical thinking.
