Copyright Protection Of Chinese Film Under The Network Environment

Nowadays, movies are a worldwide mass entertainment. With the economicaldevelopment and an increasing population which have more leisure time and desirequick and accessible entertainment. The national films at the box office have exceeded17billion yuan in20125billion people went to the cimema.China become secondbiggest film market of the world after USA.But behind the development and prosperity of film industry, there are still someproblems to be solved, the issue discussed in this paper is the film’s copyright problem.Although this question has been often discussed, with globalization, internet, the3G, high speed numerical network, virtual economy and other new technologies. Thenetwork environment took the place of the traditional audio and video products, makinginfringement out of control. The network not only caused income losses for the boxoffice, but also hurt the film producer confidence. To continue to finance good movies,we must solve copyright problems and preserve their incomes. The problem is not onlyrelated to individuals’ interest, but also to the societies’ benefit and pride of a popularnational culture.In this paper, the author analyzes one hundred years of development of films, thenthe network environment, and then develop the breakthrough point of copyright. Filmspresent new characteristics in copyright, the films rights belong to legal ownership,films are protected by legal regulations. To avoid infringement under the networkenvironment, the author will put forward relevant measures to strengthen copyrightprotection of films. Self-control legal protection and administrative protection are thethree joint efforts to find solutions to promote a normal development of China’s filmmarket.
