With the development of the society and the increasing awareness of health care, people begin to heightening their demand for health food rather than the adequate of food. Health food is a kind of food that can regulate the function of our body, and it has an influence on our health and life safety. Thus advertising supervision of health food is not only directly related to the quality and safety of health food, but also the order and development of health food market.Health food advertising is one of the most important parts in the development of health food; it is the main way for health food publicity. However, because of the rapid development of health food in China, health food advertising supervision gradually unfold some shortcomings on legislative, judicial and law enforcement, resulting the false prosperity phenomenon of health food market in China. It makes consumers begin to worry about the health food quality and safety of China; it also sets a hidden trouble for consumer’s food safety. What’s more, it seriously affects the sound development of socialist economy market of China. Therefore, the effective supervision of health food advertising helps to keep the good market economic order, maintain the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, and realize the transformation of the government’s functions.Have the whole world in view; the European Union, the United States and Japan’s health food advertising market have appeared the similar difficulties with China. But with the continuous domestic exploration and international cooperation, and by the effort of perfecting the laws and regulations, updating supervision mechanism and consumer appeal mechanism of their health food advertising market, their health food advertising market start to keep in order. We can make use of their valuable experience to put into practice for our country, and perfect the supervision measures combined with the current situation of our country.
