Action research is a reflection on the participants’ social practice in order to clarify its background and development and improve the rational knowledge of the process. For a research of case work process, it is a combinational activity with "action" and "research". Research findings in each stage can be directly applied to the next phase of the service.Social service for new immigrant young women is topic of this action research. It’s a case work practice based on feminism which aims to help client find her potential and encourage her attend to community activities. At the same time,the whole process is designed for solving problems which appear in social worker’s practice. The action, closely combined with community development through the researchers and participants’ cooperation, can be regarded as a empowerment process of new immigrant young women.The relationships between client and social worker,client and her own surroundings are hold by social worker accurately. Because "cultural capital" theory is combined with social work practice. According to four stages of service, social worker reflect the whole development process of client’s cultural capital, her own advantages and obstacles.After completing the case study, this paper reflect and summary experiences in women social work in the new immigrant groups. First of all, in the service process, social workers need to remove their own cultural capital advantages; Secondly, cultural diversity is more needed for the new immigrants young woman. Finally, client’s potential, interpersonal relationships which are found in case work can be utilized in groups, community work.
