Juveniles are the future of the country. Different countries and areaspay great attention to the growth of juveniles to prevent them fromcommitting a crime. For instance, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Mainland ofChina have attached great importance to delinquency. Research on juvenilecriminal responsibility is of great significance. Therefore, thisdissertation will compare the systems of juvenile criminal responsibilityamong Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Mainland of China through the followingaspects:Chapter one is an overview of criminal responsibility and juvenilecriminal responsibility. There are two sections in this chapter. The firstsection summarizes the content of criminal responsibility in Hong Kong,Taiwan and the Mainland. The second section tells us that It’s necessaryto do deep research on the difference between juvenile criminalresponsibility and the general criminal responsibility.Chapter two focuses on the regulations and rules of the age of juvenile criminal responsibility. It includes three sections. The first sectionintroduces the provisions on evolutions and classifications of the ageof criminal responsibility in different countries and areas. The nextthree sections analyze the specific provisions of the age of juvenilecriminal responsibility in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Mainland. The lastsection summarizes the diversities of the age bracket of criminalresponsibility in the three regions.Chapter three compares juvenile criminal capacity. There are twosections in this chapter. The first section introduces the contents anddegrees of criminal capacity in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Mainland. Thesecond section briefly analyses the connection between the age of juvenilecriminal responsibility and juvenile criminal capacity.Chapter four compares the legislation patterns of juvenile criminalresponsibility. It’s divided into three sections. The first sectionintroduces all kinds of legislation patterns of juvenile criminalresponsibility among various countries. The second section specificallydescribes the legislation patterns of Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Mainland.The third section focuses on the comparison of the three legislationpatterns.This dissertation aims to deepen our understanding of the currentinstitution of juvenile criminal responsibility, to draw on theexperience of the related systems from different regions and eventuallyto maintain social order and protect the interests of juveniles throughdoing research on the systems of juvenile criminal responsibility in HongKong, Taiwan and the Mainland of our country.
