Research On Competitive Football Insurance Of China

Competitive football insurance issues in developed countries have already aroused great concern and attention. For instance, Europe, which has a higher level of competitive soccer, has a relative mature insurance operation system and a sound legal system. With highly developed market intermediaries, it has designed targeted insurance suitable for players on the basis of their actual situations, and the players also have a strong sense of being insured.In China, however, the environment for the entire sports insurance is still in its infancy, studies of specific sports are few. Since there are such a variety kinds of sports, which vary widely in characteristic, it is difficult to measure them with unified standard. Many problems and shortcomings also exist in Chinese competitive soccer insurance, especially when vicious sports injury accidents happen in the players’ training or competition, they can’t receive timely insurance coverage. And the field of commercial competitive soccer insurance is almost a blank. The special influence and extensive participation of competitive soccer highlight the seriousness and urgency of solving this problem.This thesis studies the developed national models of competitive football insurance in Europe, takes in-depth analysis of the insurance status of competitive football in China, finds that the main reasons that restrict China’s development of competitive football insurance are:imperfect laws and regulations; professional insurance business entities’ missing, extremely shortage of talents; single-related insurance coverage, lack of specificity; actuarial model can not be accurately established owing to lack of risks accumulation data; employees’ weak awareness of insurance and law; relevant departments’ insufficient attention...and so on. Suggestions are put forward as following:strengthen the insurance legislation to build a harmonious environment for development of competitive football; increase publicity, raise insurance awareness of all participants; insurance industry should develop sports insurance products and innovative services and enhance their competitiveness; strengthen internal and external exchanges, accept insurance of kinds of football matches; develop a wide range of competitive soccer insurance fund-raising channels, enhance the level of protection etc. So as to help competitive football practitioners dedicate to training and competition and relieve their worries. Moreover, enhance the level of competitive soccer in China to protect a healthy development way for Chinese sports undertakings.
