Historical Study On Legislation And Punishment Of Corruption Crime Since The Foundation Of New China

Crime of corruption is one of the significant practical problems besetting China at present. As asocial focus, it carries high value for research. The past researches on corruption are mainly focus ontheoretical law, so the systematic research on the development of corruption has not taken its shape.Therefore, this article tries to probe into history of punishment on corruption since the foundation ofnew China, and uses methods such as historical research, review of literature, cases analysis andcomparison, so as to comprehensively reflect the development of legislative and juridical practices sincethe foundation of New China. The writer’s research is based on the review of criminal law history, triesto consolidate the theoretical foundation of research in this article, in order to use the little to get the big,and provides reference for future relevant legal research.First, in the beginning, the theme background and significance are introduced. The comprehensivesummary and analysis of present research on corruption are made, and research contents and methodsare introduced in this part.Then, in the main part, the history of punishment on corruption are divided into three phasesaccording to legislative features in different times, and investigation and demonstration of punishmenton corruption are made with social background, legislation typical cases in jurisdiction analysis.At last, the writer will summarize and explain the research on different phases in furtherconclusion.
