During the period of Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern dynasties, minorities regimes were established one after another, including "Five Barbarian Tribes"(Wuhu) regime established by five minorities. Every dynasty attached great importance to its orthodoxy after established, especially in The Great Schism. Meanwhile, racial integration was also taken place during this period, when nomads in the north moved into the Central Plains accompanied by great changes in the way of life and the step from grasslands civilization towards farming civilization. The nomads learnt from the culture of the Central Plains, whose core of Confucian culture was accepted. As an important political idea in ancient Chinese, Orthodox Ideas is also a significant part of Confucianism, and was naturally learnt by the nomads in the process of learning Han culture. After "Five Barbarian Tribes"(Wuhu) regime was set up, each regime demonstrated their legitimacy based on the orthodox idea in the view of Han dynasty, in order to prove their regimes to be legitimate not pseudo. Therefore, traditional orthodox idea of Han dynastic was learnt by the founders of "Five Barbarian Tribes"(Wuhu) regime. And then Orthodox Ideas became more and more obvious among minorities’regimes. In order to show the Orthodox Ideas, these regimes began to fight for it, tend towards the idea and even establish their own idea of orthodox.
