Research On People-oriented Thought Of Zhou Enlai

As one of the pioneers and founders of the founding of the PRC, Zhou Enlai formedhis own unique concept of People-oriented Thought in the long-term revolutionarystruggles and social practices. After critically absorbing Chinese traditional thought oftaking the people as the basis and the modern western democratic thought, Zhou Enlaigot his People-oriented Thought on the root of applying the people consciousness inMarxism into China’s democratic revolution and socialist construction. As a series oforiginal and experiential theory summaries, this People-oriented Thought is theinheritance and development of Marxism and Chinese traditional people-based thought,and is a scientific thought of people. In Zhou Enlai’s People-oriented Thought, theword “people" means an independent individual, who has independent consciousnessand independent personality, is the unified carrier of rights and obligations. With theidea of regarding the people as the main body, his thought of the people ties the massesclosely, serves the people wholeheartedly, and attaches great importance to thecommunity, public opinion, and the people’s livelihood.Now, we are in the greathistoric process of building a harmonious socialist society, building a well-off societyin an all-round way, and promoting the party’s new great project, so, undoubtedly, theresearch on Zhou Enlai’s People-oriented Thought has its own great contemporaryvalue. To do this, I selected Zhou Enlai’s People-oriented Thought as my researchsubject, in order to get a useful measure to solve current problems.In this paper, Zhou Enlai’s People-oriented Thought is the main research object. Thewhole text is divided into four parts:The first part is to talk about the theoretical source and practical basis of ZhouEnlai’s People-oriented Thought. It discusses the theory source from Chinesetraditional people-based thought to people-oriented thoughts of the capitalist class inmodern times and the people consciousness in Marxism. The experience of theChinese revolution and Zhou Enlai’s unique personal experiences are the foundation ofputting Zhou Enlai’s People-oriented Thought into practice. The second part is to systematically analyze the basic tenet, the basic requirement,the basic principle and the basic points of Zhou Enlai’s People-oriented Thought. Thispart is also the vital part of this article. All for the people, adhering to the mass line arethe basic principle and the basic requirement; seeking truth from facts is the basicprinciple of implementing Zhou Enlai’s idea. The basic points of this thought are to befully studied from four aspects, namely "upholding the people’s democratic values","the realization of people’s rich view","the improvement of people’s view of quality"and "the protection of people’s concept of security".The third part is to summarize the characteristics of Zhou Enlai’s People-orientedThought. This part will work on the comprehensive summary of Zhou Enlai’s thought.It will find that the strong practicality, the deep affinity to the people and the high levelof scientific nature are the distinct characteristics of Zhou Enlai’s People-orientedThought.Last but not least, to research the value of Zhou Enlai’s People-oriented Thought.Analyzing the value of Zhou Enlai’s thought both from theoretical and practicalaspects, this part further clarified the importance and necessity of the study andresearch on Zhou Enlai’s People-oriented Thought.
