During The Period Of Anti-Japanese War, Xie Juezai’s Democratic Regime

Xie Juezai, one of the famous five old revolutionists in Yanan, was an early Chinese Communist Party, a venerable proletarian revolutionist of the older generation as well as a firm Marxist. During the Anti-Japanese war, Xie held the position of secretary general in Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region government and deputy senate president in Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia-Ningxia Border Consultative Council. He presided over the work of our country’s democratic regime construction for a long time, and made further theoretical research and practice in driving Chinese people to participate and manage major national affairs. As the product of the combination of Marxism-Leninism and Chinese revolutionary practice, Xie’s democratic regime thought is part of the Mao Zedong thought and provides a useful reference for the current democratic regime construction in China.This paper can be divided into two parts. The first part is introduction, in which the author introduces the significance and research status of the selected topic. The second part is the main body of the paper, centering on Xie’s democratic regime thought during the Anti-Japanese War and being divided the following three parts.In the first part, the author mainly talks about the formation background of Xie’s democratic regime thought during Anti-Japanese war through analyzing the implement of the CPC Anti-Japanese National United policy and sorting Xie’s exploration on democratic regime construction. In the second part, the author puts emphasis on the contents of Xie’s democracy thoughts like representative system, democratic election system,"Triangular Organization" regime, rural democratic politics, relation between Party and government. Xie pays attention to general election. He focused not only on democratic election at grass-roots level, but also introduced campaign into election, which guaranteed the masses have equal right to vote and mobilize people’s enthusiasm in participating and discussing state affairs. He upheld "Triangular Organization" regime construction, and made outstanding contribution to the smooth development of "Triangular Organization" regime theoretically and practically. Xie attached great importance to rural democratic construction. In view of the phenomenon that there was no separation between the party and government, he put forward that specific work division should be managed under the unified leadership of the CPC.In the last part, the author believes that Xie’s democratic regime thought during Anti-Japanese War not only plays an important role at that time, but also provides useful reference for China to become a harmonious socialist country with Chinese characteristics.
