Dong Jiang Town is located in the Southeast cast in Liaodong Peninsula, whichincludes Yuncong Xumi Zhangzi Shicheng, Changshan, Guanglu islands. As a strategiccenter which is connected with Korea, it plays an important part in the coastal defenseof East Liaodong in Ming Dynasty. In the Late Ming Dynasty, since Mao found theDong Jiang Town, the region for the activities of Dong Jiang people and soldiersreached Chang Bai Mountain in the north, Deng Lai to the south Lvshun in the westand Korea in the east. So its strategic position is very important. But as to the strategic position, some persons still were doubting about it in MingDynasty,so that the descendants couldn’t agree on the functions that Dong Jiang Townplayed in the defeat of Late Jin and as well as the evaluation to the war in Northeast.Because of the exit of the differences, it is difficult to reach a consensus. However, we have to further particularly analyze main line of this story, which stillfingers the rise and fall of Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty and also explains why it isone of the key.Actually, by the force of contrast it is from Dong Jiang Town beginning to its endand the Late Jin of the war trend. We could find out that the setting up of Dong JiangTown is highly important for Ming Dynasty in Liao Dong battlefield. At the beginningof the war started by Late Jin, they were so strong that they had never lost one filed.Under the continue success, they got the city of Fushun, Tieling,Shenyang,Liaoyangand many other which amounted to more than70cities. And they broke through backline of defense that was set up by Ming Dynasty. After the establishment of Dong JiangTown, the people and soldiers in Dong Jiang Town sought actively opportunity ofsupport and cooperation with Korea. They often made some harassment to the rear ofJin with a small force, which made the Late Jin unable to expand it effective attack toMing Dynasty and gave strong support on the west battlefield. However, after Yuan supervised the thistle Liaodong Peninsula, he actuallyimplemented two kinds of reform measures to curb Mao. The first one was to set upthe Supervision Department. The second one was to change the way of Dong JiangRiver. But Mao would not like to obey the command of Yuan. As a result, Yuan killedMao with the crime entitled for twelve titles. After that, Yuan neglected themaintenance of Dong Jiang defense forces. So there was no leader in Don Jiang forces, they attacked each other, which led to the differentiation of the party. Yuan cleaned thepotential threat of betrayal, but at the same time he also weakens the role of the DongJiang Town. The old generals of Mao surrendered the Late Jin to make the militaryforces of Late Jin stronger than before. At that time, the army of Yuan could notcontain to the Late Jin, as well as the strategic meaning of Ningyuan. The surrender of the old general of Mao brought a large number of guns andhundreds of ships for the Late Jin. They used these military suppliers successfully tocaptured Lvshun and cut off the connection of Deng Lai and Dong Jiang. MingDynasty had stopped giving a timely rescue to Dong Jiang after the final capture.finally, the Late Jin captured the Dong Jiang Town successfully and solved theworrying completely. The lost of Dong Jiang Town means the demise of the loss of allof Liaodong Peninsula for Ming Dynasty. So the Late Jin could be fully devoted to theNingjin battlefield, and took the opportunity to play army march into Beijing.Since the establishment of Dong Jiang Town, it had played an important role incomforting the people, connecting the Korea, harassing the Late Jin, and containing theforces of the Late Jin. So its influence in the battle of Ming and Qing dynasty wasobvious. While the fall of Dong Jiang Town made the coastal defense of Liaoningcollapsed completely. And since then the Late Jin could act its recklessly strategicengagement with the Ming dynasty and it finally comes true of the replacement of theMing and Qing Dynasty. Although the Ming Rise and Qing Fall already has held out inmany ways, but in many important factors, Dong Jiang Town of rising and fallingbecomes a obviously watershed in historic events.
