Political rights and Economic, Social and Cultural Rights are two major HumanRights,but Economic, Social and Cultural Rights have always been neglected.This isnot only reflected in the behavior and awareness of many governments,but alsoreflected in the citizens.This paper investigated on the basis of relevant theories,andstudied the history of "the Covenant". Because of the above understandings, we areproud to say that our country has made very great achievements in fulfillment of "theCovenant".The purposes of this paper is to study our country’s fulfillment situation of "theCovenant" and current situation of our country’s economic,social and cultural rights.This paper has three chapters.Chapter one is a summary of "the Covenant",and an analysis of theexemplification in Chinese domestic law.Firstly,in view of International human rightstheories,the paper inspects some important questions furtherly,such as the backgroundand some important economic,social and cultural rights in the covenant,as well as thecovenant’s implementing mechanism and the relevant right restriction.This chaptermainly analyzes our country’s fulfillment situation to"the Covenant", and currentsituation of our country’s economic,social and the cultural rights.Chapter two talks about four problems in current situation of our country’seconomic,social and the cultural rights..We are proud to say that our country has madevery great achievements in protection of human rights.However, deficiencies stillexist,such as the lack of the right to strike,the right of women and children,the right to education and the Right to social security.The last part provides four pieces of advice to four important issues in currentsituation of our country’s economic,social and cultural rights,such as improving the"work and rights at work", strengthening " rights of women and children", enhancing"right to education and cultural rights" and building "social security" systems. Goodcondition should be noted.Although the process of China’s human rights legislation isspeeding up,the gap with the international human rights conventions is large.Chinahas to continue to promote the continuous development of domestic human rights andprogress.
