The Problems And The Advices Of Community Correction In China

In2003China began a pilot community corrections, was in2009countrywidecomprehensive pilot, the community correction work develops rapidly, the steady expansionof coverage, the growing number of community correctional officers. Community correctionin China to implement, is crime prevention needs, is the implementation of the criminal policyof combination of leniency needs, is the reform of penalty system in China needs andinternational standards. After several years of experiment, all through practice summed up alot of experience, also proved that community correction to the prevention and reduction ofreturning to crime has highlighted the positive role. But because of China’s communitycorrection work of the late start, in the pilot phase also exposed many problems.
