Contemporary Circumstances Of The Marxist Theory Of Women’s Liberation

The so-called Marxist theory of women’s liberation is just the use of Marxism basic principle on the awareness and solve of women’s problem. This theory was established by Marx and Engels,and via being inherited and developed by the Marxist in the practice of proletarian revolution,it ultimately developed into a more complete theoretical system, and has been fully affirmed and widely disseminated in the world, especially in socialist countries.At the beginning of the twentieth century,with the victory of the Russian October Revolution and the outbreak of the May-fourth Movement in China, Marxism and its women’s liberation theory was introduced into China.Then the theory was gradually learned,developed and innovated by combining it with China’s revolution and construction. And at last under the guidance of this theory, Chinese revolution and modernization as well as the women’s liberation and development has all made important achievements. At the same time, the Marxist thought on women’s liberation also got further forward in the combination of Chinese actual conditions and women’s movement.However,under the background of economic globalization which acts as a symbol of the wider social and cultural integration,China as a developing country is in the important social transition period of the primary stage of socialism,so the whole society is in a comprehensive transformation state. And in this case, the change of various social conditions and the existence and emergence of problems and contradictions will bring challenge to the continued development of the Marxist theory of women’s liberation. Therefore, we need to make new understanding and interpretation on the scientific connotation and contemporary significance of Marxist theory of women’s liberation overall consideration, and try to mining the deep meaning of it on the basis of adhering to its basic principle,to deepen and develop its connotation on the basis of combining the theory with practice,to seek its contemporary development path in analyzing its relationship with the contemporary construction of socialist harmonious society.Specifically, this paper package will include the following four parts of content: the first part mainly expounds the main content of the classical Marxist theory of women’s liberation, through analysing the roots and the process of producing of the social phenomenon of inequality between men and women, the proposing and approach of women’s liberation,thus offer the theoretical starting point and support for the development of the below; the second part analyzes the challenge that Marxist theory of women’s liberation faced in the present China specifically in contact with the reality, and then draw out the necessity of enriching and developing Marxist theory of women’s liberation to provide a springboard for beginning the third part; the third part mainly explains and expounds the scientific connotation of the Marxist theory of women’s liberation in the present aims at the challenges and difficulties Marxist theory of women’s liberation and corresponds to the content of the classical Marxist theory of women’s liberation, not only interpreted some academia misunderstanding to the "women’s Liberation" and "women in development" and other related concepts, but also reaffirmed the goal and road of women’s liberation on the basis of characteristics of times of the contemporary Chinese society; the fourth part provides some reference opinions for upholding and developing Marxism theory of women’s liberation in the present in contact with the construction of socialist harmonious society, makes theoretical research finally returned to the reality,and highlights the significance of theoretical guidance in contact with the social reality.
