Two-photon absorption (TPA) materials have attracted considerable interests inthe fields of nonlinear optical materials. These materials have been applied in variousareas, such as two photon fluorescence imaging, optical power limiting,up-converted lasting, three-dimension optical data storage,3D micro-fabrication,etc.Spirobifluorene derivatives have become a hot research field due to the specialstructure and electronic effect in these years. Recently, most of the reportedspirobifiuorene derivatives are used in OLED, OPV, OTFT, second order NOL,fluorescent probes. However, it is difficult to find them in the field of Two-photonabsorption materials.Due to Ester groups and the nitrogen atom in the pyridine ring ofdimethypyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate derivatives, they can form the multi-ligandcompounds with the metal irons. They have many organic function groups whichmake they occur a variety of electrophilic or nucleophilic reactions to get manyimportant organic synthesis intermediates. Therefore, they have been widely used inthe fields of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, fragrances, household chemicals, etc.This paper is divided into two parts.Firstly, the TPA cross sections of “top-down” asymmetric spirobifluorenederivatives SPF-1, SPF-2, SPF-3are62949GM,2928GM,3773GM and the TPA crosssections of compared spirobifiuorene derivatives SPF-1b, SPF-2a, SPF-3a are63449GM,2M,35GM, which have been tested for the first time. Then, we havetested the performance by thermal stability, transparency, redox potential andtwo-photon fluorescence. By analyzing testing results, it is favorably found specialspiro conjugate effect in these spirobifluorene derivatives. We have designed andobtained compounds SPF-Py and SPF-Py-CA. Compound SPF-Py has a6M of TPA crosssections. Compound SPF-Py-CA has a pH fluorescent probe performance.Secondly, we have designed and obtained the compound which triphenylamineis the core and pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate is electron-withdrawing group. We have tested the performance by thermal stability, transparency, redox potential,two-photon absorption and two-photon fluorescence. The TPA cross sections ofcompound Py-A is1358GM. Py-A has a pH fluorescent probe and Ag+-fluorescentprobe performance.
