About how to develop lead oxide ore resource, many scholars have studied it from differentangles and have made some progress. Experimental research had been did systematically to studycerussite sulphide flotation process and its mechanism,to research phosphoric cidethylenediamine and ammonia sulfate’s fuction on cerussite sulphide flotation and itsmechanism,to find measures to solve the disadvantages when silt existed.There are many floation experiment study has been did: monomineralic experiment forcerussite the main ore of lead oxide ore,for quartz and calcite the two main gangue mineral;testfor artificial mixed minerals; experimental study on flotation of actual lead oxide ore. The actingmechanism of chemicals and minerals has been discussed by means of solubilit test, theadmeasurement to contact angle, zeta potential, adsorption quantity and infrared spectrum,thecalculate to Ionicity percentage of chemical bond.The recovery of cerussite is still low when floated by butyl xanthate directly even though alarge amount of it was used,but it will be improved if sulfide is added in,at the same time thedosage must be controled or the recovery can be decreased by the overdose. The are many aspectsare showed that phosphoric cid ethylenediamine and ammonia sulfate can raise the recovery ofcerussite sulphide flotation.First,they can make the flation observe a good effect at a large rangeof pH,they can also lessen the dosage of sodium sulfide and butyl xanthate when the flaotion gotthe same level;the last,they can lessen the required time of sodium sulfide acted.The ganguecalcite existence makes the floation worse than gangue quartz,and the former is more difficult tobe separated from cerussite.The slim make a large impact on cerussite sulphide flotation,but itcan be partly dispeled by measures of adding the slurry dispersant,putting stirring deslimingprocedure in or ultrasonication.Mechanism studies showed that:when cerussite is vulcanized,mineral surface will form alayer of hydrophobic films,which can increase the contact angle of the mineral and make itemerge out good floatability.At the same time,it can change the surface electrical properties ofminerals. phosphoric cid ethylenediamine and ammonia sulfate can strengthen the vulcanizingfloation,but can not impetus the absorption of butyl xanthate.The former can dissolve cerussitepartly so it can change the structure of the surface;The latter can make the sulfide membranemore inseparable,and also it can clean calcium and magnesium insolublescompounds.when thechemical bond Pb-O turns into Pb-S, the cerussite’s floatability becomes good.There was a low-grade lead oxide with a high oxidation rate,which cloth embedded in smallparticles.To do with it,formula that both sulphide ore and oxidized ore would be recoveredtogether at the same time, phosphoric cid ethylenediamine was chosed as synergist to the leadoxide’s sulfidizing floation,and ore-dressing experiments were did systematically. The testeventually made leaded grade of45.82%, lead recovery of64.96%of the lead concentrates andthe results can provide a reference for this kind of lead oxide ore ‘s flotation recovery.
