Graphene is2D carbon nanomaterial with sp2carbon atoms. Studies show that it hasmany excellent properties, such as high theoretical specific surface area, high charge mobility, excellent mechanical properties. These excellent properties make graphene have hugepotential applications.in bio-medicine, super capacitors, solar cells, adsorption, corrosion andmany other fields. In this paper, graphite oxide was fabricated by Hummers oxidation with natural graphiteas raw material, then be modified and restored to prepare functionalized graphene. Thestructures of the products were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, SEM and so on.On thisbasis,Our samples were developed for the removal of Cu(II) ions from water. The resultsshowed that the maximum adsorption capacity of Cu(II) ions is up to1689mg/g,which ismuch higher than that by previous sample.nanotube.The adsorption processes reachequilibrium in just ten minutes. These illustrate that our samples have excellent adsorptioncapacity and potential industrial applications prospects for Cu(II) ions.Composite films with different content of graphene were prepared by adding graphene tothe epoxy resin. The structure and properties of the products were characterized by Raman,SEM, TG, nanoindentation, electrochemical testing. The results showed that the modulus ofdoping0.7wt%graphene is highest for5.62GPa, increased by about213%compared with thatof the pure epoxy (2.44GPa).The corrosion current of doping0.7wt%graphene is lowest for0.18μA/cm2, reduced by about four times compared with that of the pure epoxy(0.75μA/cm2),corresponding corrosion rate is0.3mm/year, less than that of pure epoxy(1.3mm/year).Composite films with different content of graphene were prepared by adding graphene tothe acrylic emulsion. The structure and properties of the products were characterized byRaman, SEM, TG, bubbling, electrochemical testing. The results showed that the yield stressof doping1.1wt%graphene is highest for24.1GPa, increased by about three timescompared with that of pure acrylic emulsion (8.2GPa).The corrosion current of doping1.1wt%grapheneis lowest for0.45μA/cm2, reduced by about three orders of magnitude compared with that ofpure acrylic emulsion(13.8μA/cm2),corresponding corrosion rate is0.8mm/year, less thanthat of pure acrylic emulsion(28.7mm/year).Good corrosion performance of graphene ismainly derived from its unique two-dimensional sheet structure, excellent conductivity andhydrophobic surface characteristics.
