The shear wall of cold-formed thin-walled steel reinforced concrete (CTSRC) is a newindustrialized residential structured system. Its failure process can be divided into the whole wallstage and parting wall stage. Nowadays, very little research of the CTSRC shear walls has been donein the world. In this paper, the performance of the CTSRC shear wall was studied. The study included thefollowing parts:(1) Based on the ABAQUS finite element program, the reasonable finite element model of theCTSRC shear wall was established. The results of the numerical analysis were in good agreementwith the existing experimental results.(2) Based on the finite element model of the CTSRC shear wall, the influence parameters ofthe force performance of CTSRC shear wall were analyzed. The influence parameters include theaxial compression ratio, the concrete strength level, the horizontal reinforcement ratio of the wall andthe spacing of cold-formed steel. The study showed that: within a certain range, axial compressionratio could increase the capacity of the shear wall; with the improvement of the concrete strength ofthe wall, the ultimate bearing capacity is improved; with the increase the reinforcement ratio of thewall, the bearing capacity below the peak load declines slowly; with a certain range the steel spacingin CTSRC wall has little effect on the force performance of the wall.(3) Based on the theoretical shear strength model of the CTSRC shear wall, shear strengthmodel program of the CTSRC shear wall was established. The program’s calculation results, theexperimental results and the results of numerical analysis are in good agreement.(4) The method of calculate the shear capacity of the CTSRC shear wall was recommended.(5) Based on the existing tri-linear skeleton curve model of the CTSRC shear wall, unloadingstiffness formula and strength degradation formula of the restoring force model of the CTSRC shearwall are created. The hysteretic curve model of the CTSRC shear wall was established. Thecalculation results of the model are in good agreement with the experimental results.
