With the development of the science and technology,the electric power communication system is also developed, and the reliability,securityisolation and real-time of the distribution network have a higher requirement.Aiming at the isolation problem of smart distribution communication grid.Firstly,based on the isolation of VPN,this paper proposed a method which can solve this information isolation problem. This communication system in smart distribution bone network uses the QoS, traffic engineering mechanism and isolation technology of the MPLS_VPN technology, ensuring that substation information could be transmitted speedily and safely in communication backbone network; And using the IPSec encryption and authentication functions can ensure that the critical business information has a strict confidentiality. According to the simulation result of smart distribution communication grid, we can find that this method in the grid communication can use different VPNs to realize the isolation between the critical information and general information in the communication systems. This method can meet the transmission requirements and get a good isolation of the network.Secondly, Aiming at what’s kind of impact will be caused because of indicators change and how relevant issues of isolation.Combining the feature of mutual information with the rate of change frequency which is generated by the influence which event X is affected by event Y to evaluate the correlation between channels.This paper proposed a mathematical model to evaluate the effect of isolation relate in distribution communication network. The size of the isolation relate degree is evaluated by the size of mutual information. Last, this paper simulated the test network architecture diagram of Yunnan Branch of China Southern Power Grid with OPNET. Estimating it with traditional gray theory and the method which is proposed by this paper. One, verifying the isolation relate of different network, Two, verifying the method which is proposed by this paper is feasible. Finally, through experiments and the results of Comparative verify the type of networking isolation relate is different, and The experiment results show that this method is feasible and effective, which provides a quantifiable method about evaluating the network isolation relate degree.
