Heat pipe is a kind of high efficiency heat transfer element. Compared with copper heat pipe, aluminum heat pipe has a higher cost effective, its production and operating costs are significantly lower, when satisfies heat transfer efficiency index. Compared to the steel heat pipe, as lightweight and small cubage, it also has higher heat transfer efficiency and great application potential, not only suitable for high and low temperature waste heat recovery, but also for the cooling field.At present, the engineering application of heat pipe has mainly been gaven priority to the steel-water and copper-water heat pipe. Investigated its reason, it is mainly that the aluminum and aluminum alloy material are easy to be oxidated and out of shape at low and high temperature, resulting in the stagnation of aluminum heat pipe manufacturing technology and equipment research, and becoming a big bottleneck in industrial application of aluminum heat pipe. Directing at this problem, manufacturing technology and equipment become the main research in this topic, in order to realize the industrial application of aluminum heat pipe. The main contents are as follows:(1) By using the principle of planets and chuck, we put forward the new necking method for aluminum pipe under the condition of motionless. Besides, we design and manufacture the planetary and spinning necking equipment, and successfully used.(2) Based on planetary spinning necking equipment, according to the indicators, such as the shape, thinning rate, sealing performance. The different parameters of roll are compared and optimized, and the best one is obtained. It is also suitable for the pipe of another material and different sizes, and provide the rationale and application supports.(3)We expand the sealed theory, by means of the contrast test of aluminum pipe sealing process, the cold welding and resistance welding has been put forward to using for aluminum heat pipe sealing effectively, which is simple and easy to operate. (4) In this paper, the cold press mold and supporting equipment for sealing have been discussed. In addition, we also improve the vacuum and infusion process and make the manufacturing process organic combination, which is consisted of the vacuum-pumping, charging and sealing. In the end, qualified aluminum heat pipe has been made successfully.
