| Millimeter wave switch is a kind of millimeter wave control circuits and one of very important parts of radar and test systems. In this paper, millimeter wave single pole multiple throw switch (SPMT) is mainly used to complete the transformation between the signal in different signal channels. High frequency, low loss, high isolation and the consistency between channels have always been the difficulty of switch design. The simulation of switch design needs to consider the actual situation to make the simulation results more reliable. In this thesis is to use the existing conditions to simulate, optimize, process and test the single pole sixteen throw(SP16T) switch circuit based on the design.After the thesis details the basic theory of switch circuit, compared with FET tube, PIN diode has faster response speed, low control current and high power capacity, and with rhe theory as the support, uses the simulation software ADS which was developed by Agilent company to design the Ka band16-way PIN diode switch circuit. Firstly design a SPDT switch simulation and test it. The test results show that insertion loss is less than2.7dB over27-33GHz. the isolation is more than48dB and the VSWR is less than1.5. At the same time, in order to avoid the coupling reaction caused by the SPDT circuit, we desigened the right cavity and completed the SP4T switch. The test results show that insertion loss is less than4.8dB over27-33GHz, the isolation is more than40dB and the VSWR is less than1.8. Lastly the thesis develops Ka band16-way switch circuit. The insertion loss of the16-way switch circuit is less than8dB over27-33GHz, the isolation is more than35dB and the VSWR is less than2. |
