In the paper, with guided bullets as the research object, and according to research status of small-caliber ammunition’s guidance and bullet design theory, two guided bullets structural design scheme are proposed, which are based on deflection warhead’s guided bullet and based on lateral jet’s guided bullets, then the aerodynamic characteristics of both are analyzed, the main works are as follows:First, based on the research status of existing guidance bullets attitude actuator, the overall structure of based on deflection warhead’s guided bullet and based on lateral jet’s guided bullets are designed. And the two types of guided bullets external ballistic attitude real-time control mechanism are discussed, while establishing mathematical model of its external ballistic attitude control, provided theoretical support for the subsequent study.Secondly, three-dimensional solid model of the two types of guided bullets are created, using Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model, through Fluent fluid simulation, various aerodynamic coefficients and flow field characteristics of the two types of guided bullets are obtained, then analysis their pressure, velocity, temperature field, and drag coefficient, lift coefficient, lift-drag ratio, pitching moment coefficient.Finally, contrast analysis the two types of guided bullet, Mach1.5or less, lateral jet’s resistance characteristics, the lift characteristics and lift-drag ratio are better than deflection warhead, but when the Mach number is greater than1.5, then there is the opposite situation. As the pitching torque characteristics, two types of bullets as different mechanisms of action, deflection warhead has better torque characteristics, but to some extent reduce the stability of the elastomer, Lateral jet requires a smaller pitch moment characteristics, and ensure the stability of the projectile.
