Design And Implementation Of Windows Phone Traffic Management System

Since the concept of intelligent transportation system was put forward in1980’s, the intelligent transportation has developed from the original simple traffic management system to a series of related systems, such as the Vehicle Control System, Electronic Charge System, as well as Public Transportation System. These systems are applied to every aspect of our life which brings to our life a lot of convenience. However, as these systems are always B/S (Browser/Server) structure or C/S (Client/Server) architecture, they are usually installed in PC this situation lead to some urgent tasks cannot be timely input and some information query cannot be achieved fastly. So, how to improve the current intelligent transportation system by using modern technology, to make it participate in the process and improve efficiency of law enforcement, it is an important topic that we face now.Considering of the characteristics of Mobile GIS as mobile and real-time, this paper will combine the M/S (Mobile/Server) framework with the B/S structure to develop a set traffic management system that based on Windows Phone, which will extend the work place of intelligent transportation system from indoor to outdoor. By making full use of the advantage of Mobile Phone easy to carry, efficient fast, flexible and advanced, it will help the traffic police improve work efficiency so as to cover the shortage of the current intelligent transportation system in the aspect of convenience and timeliness. Base on the Mobile GIS, this system achieves the function of collect evidence and voice communication by using mobile phones the capacity of taking picture and sound recording. It also will help the law enforcement personnel to realize rapid positioning, map query and the shortest path search through the GPS,Wi-Fi, cellular network. What’s more, it will bring about online monitoring of traffic violations by the electronic police interface. Through the electronic map display traffic accident location, realize rapid reinforcement and escaping capture. The system provides mobile management tool for traffic police which will be an innovation to enforce the law means to improve the law enforcement efficiency.Compared with the traditional way, this system has characteristics as simple operation, convenient using, it is interference by external factors smaller and breaks through the traditional traffic management law enforcement mode, will greatly improve the law enforcement efficiency. Since this system involves widely technical range and the scope of paper is limited, it just analyzes and constructs the basic framework of system and realized the basic function, for some deficiencies existed which still need further improvement.
