With the development of socio-economic and the improvement of urbanization level,bicycle has become one of the main modes of travel with its characteristics of lightness,flexibility,convenience,energy saving,free of air pollution,age adaptability,and health benefits.The rapid development of bicycle travel has also brought new safety issues.With the increasing penetration of smartphones in all aspects of people's lives,work,and learning,people's dependence on smartphones is also becoming more and more serious,which makes the phenomenon of "bow headed people" who use mobile phones while cycling increasingly common.The high proportion of bicycle accidents brings severe challenges to the road traffic safety situation.Therefore,it is extremely important and urgent task to clarify the mechanism of the impact of mobile phone distraction on the cycling safety of cyclists and reduce the traffic accidents caused by mobile phone distraction.This study takes the distracted cyclists who use mobile phones while cycling as the main research object.Through the analysis of the psychological decision-making process of the distracted behaviors and the characteristics of the influence of the distracted behaviors on the cycling safety performance,targeted intervention methods are proposed.The specific contents are as follows:(1)Through the questionnaire survey method to explore the psychological factors that influence the behavior of mobile phone use while cycling,analyze the decision-making process of the behavior of mobile phone use while cycling.Based on the theory of planned behavior,we adapted and designed the questionnaire of mobile phone use while cycling,and obtained 603 valid questionnaires through the combination of field survey and Internet survey.Based on the theory of planned behavior,this study puts forward a theoretical hypothesis model,and uses structural equation model to verify,evaluate and analyze the theoretical model and path coefficient,so as to reveal the psychological decision-making mechanism of mobile phone use while cycling.(2)Based on the theory of attention distribution and multi resource theory,this study designs a mobile phone distraction task experiment in real road traffic environment to explore the influence of mobile phone distraction on the characteristics of cycling behavior.In the design of the experimental scheme,both the influence of mobile distraction on the cyclists' cycling safety and the influence of mental load of distraction task on the cyclists' cycling safety are considered.The speed,acceleration and the change rate of average cycling deflection angle of distracted cycling are obtained by GPS,the percentage of fixation point distribution and the saccade frequency are obtained by eye tracker,and the effects of different distracted types on cycling safety performance are analyzed from two aspects of manipulation and visual characteristics by hotspot diagram,box diagram,one-way ANOVA and Post hoc Analysis.The difference reveals the internal mechanism of the effect of mobile phone distraction on attention distribution while cycling,and expounds the mechanism of the effect of mobile phone distraction on cyclists' cycling safety.(3)Based on the analysis of the cognitive decision-making process of mobile phone use while cycling behavior and the experimental analysis of the impact of mobile phone distraction on cycling safety,this study puts forward intervention measures and improvement measures from four aspects of engineering,education,enforcement and emergency.
