In recent years, waveguide slot antennas in the C-band satellite-borne SAR systems have been paid more and more attentions, for its many advantages, for example:higher power capacity and radiation efficiency、the lower cross-polarization and feeder loss. It is now gradually replacing the micro-strip patch array antenna.A new type of waveguide slot antennas was developed in the paper, considering the requirements of antennas bandwidth, efficiency and data transmission frequency, as well as the needs of the antennas.In the structural design stage, first of all, according to the structural layouts of the active phased array antennas, a horizontal-polarized waveguide slot antenna and a vertical-polarized waveguide slot antenna and a dual-polarized waveguide slot antenna were improved, and the lack of conventional designs were compared. Meanwhile the lightweight and miniaturized measures taken in the design were described. Secondly, a structural mechanics analysis of the product was given. Finally, the precision machining deformation and welding deformation as well as corresponding solutions in the stages of production and process were analyzed. And also, the paper showed several major clamping means, and several special form of welded joints and welding equipments were improvedThe process experiment and test results showed, the appearance、weld quality and mechanics performance of product developed in the paper were improved, and finished product efficiency was increased from45%to75%.
