The assembly system of small-caliber bullet is a certain degree of automation of the bullet assembly device, which is used to research the parameters of small-caliber bullet type, explosive load and ammunition type during automatic weapons test in laboratories of Research institute, factories and schools. The device can be used to reassemble the small-caliber bullet, which providing a safe and reliable processing operation platform in studying the property of automatic weapons and technical parameters of the experiment. The assembly system can achieve automatic assembly and man-machine separation. Besides, it can improve reliability, economy, security and so on.In the present paper, based on analysing the process of Automatic assembly system, designing the System layout and studying the structure of small-caliber bullet assembly system, it carry out the overall structure, including the shaft type of shell blanking, the screw of conveying ammunition, press-fitting bullet and the structure of leverage providing tight force. It form a set of overall project of the combination machine of four workstation desktop that can measure and pour ammunition, press-fit and clamp the bullet during bullet assembly operations.According to the designed project of the system structure, the technical requirements and the environment of assembly operation, analysing the basic operation and control tasks, it make sure the project of control system. It can accurately collect sensor signals by PLC controlling. Besides, it also can deal with the received signals, making sure automatic and intelligent control during the assembly process.Using analytic method combined with finite element method to analyse the bullet tight force, so that it can regulate reasonable pressure output value of conditioning composition. Put the assembled bullet into bullet pulling machine, collecting the curve of stretch force and the value of stretch force after pulling process. Compared with the real value of small-caliber bullet, it can turn out that the assembly system is qualified and practical.Based on the above research, use UG software to draw3D structure and set up the whole3D model structure of small-caliber bullet assembly system. Besides, put the whole model structure into manufacture and develop a model machine of small-caliber bullet assembly flexible system The automatic process is under the combined software effect of PLC and Kingview. Put The numerical simulation of stretch force into analysing and comparing after ABAQUS calculation.The assembly flexible system of small-caliber bullet is used modularized and generalized idea, making kinds of small-caliber bullets during assembly process automatic in overall work, showed the characteristics of flexible assembly. The experimental data of assembled bullets show that it is a steady bullet pull strength and an admitted tolerance. So this assembly system of small-caliber bullet is popularized and useful.
