Permanent magnet synchronous motor has been widely used in numerical controlmachine tools, industrial robots and other fields due to the advantages of high reliability,strong robustness and high efficiency. The sliding variable structure controller as anonlinear control method in motor controller filed has been seen as one of the mostpopular motor control methods, and has strong robustness and high precision withchanges parameters of the outside interference and external disturbances.Based on the analysis and sorting of domestic and foreign permanent magnetsynchronous motor-driven methods, a permanent magnet synchronous motorssliding-driven method based on FPGA is proposed in order to overcome the chatteringproblem and give a solution of setting sliding mode control functions in this paper. Thismethod combined the traditional sliding surface and functions switch control forms withvector control methods and space vector pulse width modulation technology is enable todesign of a sliding mode controller based on Simulink and prove the sliding modecontrol has advantages of strong robustness with changes parameters of the outsideinterference and external disturbances.In this paper a permanent magnet synchronous drive system based on sliding modevariable structure control is designed, in which the current loop sliding adjustmentmodule and speed loop sliding adjustment module are used to build two regulationloops. Wherever, the system coordinate transformation module, space vector pulsewidth modulation module and two rings sliding adjustment module has been designedand simulated on Quartus II development platform. The experimental results show thatthe permanent magnet synchronous motor drive method based on sliding mode controlhas advantages of strong robustness, high reliability and easy re-configurabilitycharacteristics.
